Privacy Policy
NexGen Logistics Group ("NexGen," "we," "our," or "us") builds and operates a freight technology platform connecting freight brokers, motor carriers, drivers, and shipping customers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: Name, email address, phone number, company or carrier entity name, and user role (broker, driver/carrier, or shipping customer).
- Load and shipment data: Origin, destination, dates, cargo descriptions, rate information, status updates, and delivery records entered through the platform.
- Location data: GPS coordinates collected exclusively from Carrier Users during active load assignments. Not collected from brokers or shipping customers.
- Device and usage data: Device type, OS version, app version, push notification tokens, crash logs, and usage logs.
- Communications: Content of support emails and in-app messages you send to NexGen.
- Proof of delivery: Photos and documents uploaded by drivers at delivery.
- Server-side technical data: IP addresses, session identifiers, request timestamps, and API logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and deliver platform services including load management, carrier assignment, real-time tracking, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
- To send transactional SMS and email notifications related to load assignments, status changes, and account activity.
- To provide AI-assisted rate confirmation extraction for Broker Users (via Anthropic Claude API — document content only; not used for model training).
- To diagnose bugs, maintain infrastructure, and improve platform features.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful process.
- To resolve disputes between platform users and address safety reports.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
- With other platform users: Broker Users receive carrier name, contact info, and GPS location during an active load. Carrier Users receive load details including broker contact. Customer Users receive shipment status and driver GPS for their active shipment.
- With service providers: Mapbox (mapping), Anthropic (AI document extraction, broker only), Expo (push notifications), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS delivery), and our hosting provider. Each is bound by data processing agreements.
- For legal compliance: In response to lawfully issued subpoenas, court orders, or government investigation requests.
- In a business transfer: If NexGen is acquired or merges with another company, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction with prior notice.
4. Location Data
GPS location data is collected only from Carrier Users during active load assignments. It is shared only with the broker and shipping customer associated with that specific load. Location data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or collected during personal or off-duty time. You can stop location tracking by disabling location permissions in your device settings, setting your status to Off Duty, or closing the app.
Precise geolocation data is "sensitive personal information" under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California residents may direct us to limit use of this data to what is necessary to provide the freight tracking services.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to support platform operations, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. GPS location data is retained for 90–365 days after load completion. Push notification tokens are deleted upon account closure. To request deletion of your data, contact privacy@nexgenlogisticsgrp.com.
6. Data Security
We implement HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel and systems, and database-level security configurations. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of location, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@nexgenlogisticsgrp.com with subject line "Privacy Rights Request." California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA including the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale, and limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
8. Children's Privacy
The platform is for commercial use by adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
The platform integrates third-party services governed by their own policies: Mapbox, Anthropic, Expo, Resend, Twilio.
SMS and Mobile Information
When you provide your phone number to NexGen Logistics, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- The date and time you opted in
- The opt-in method (web form, in-app registration, or written agreement)
- IP address at time of opt-in (where applicable)
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We may share your mobile number with SMS service providers (such as Twilio) solely to deliver messages on our behalf. These providers are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your information for any other purpose.
We retain SMS opt-in records for at least one year after opt-out to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
